Exploring the materiality of cardboard to make a single material chair
For this project we worked in teams of 3 to design and build a structurally sound chair using ONLY two 2m x 2m pieces of cardboard - no adhesives or additional materials were allowed
After many iterations we came up with a solution that balanced comfort, stability and our desired aesthetic quite well

This project highlighted the importance of testing full scale, it was only when we tested full scale that the issues in the design became clear
Teamwork and collaboration were also key to the success of the project - we needed to work together to measure, cut and assemble the prototypes
