Flos is a desk top planter and drip tray designed in collaboration with We Make Good
We Make Good are a social enterprise who work alongside designers to design items to be made by people facing social challenges who are supported to develop valuable skills and gain employment in their craft
Briefed to create a range of products using fire hose as the main material and simple production methods Flos was one of the products we developed further
Ideation and Development
Flos is made using minimal processes, utilising the inherent durability and water-resistance of the firehose
The hexagonal powder coated steel base both mimics and contrasts the organic shape of the planter and the dusky pink finish lightens the deep red colour of the firehose
The final product is simply produced without compromising on quality or elegance
